Marlieke is a Dutch student doing her second master’s degree in Complex Emergencies and Development at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her work for school is primarily centered around reading and writing. Her general practice is reading up extensively on subjects, and then writing on them. She tends to do most of her writing in very compacted timeframes (usually with rapidly approaching deadlines) and has a number of interesting requirements for spaces in which to write, and ones in which she reads.
